This manual sets out how a requester may access records held by MUTE IT (Pty) Ltd in accordance with PAIA.

03Records Available

Records held include company records, client and supplier records, financial records, employee records and records held in terms of other legislation. Access to certain records may be refused on the grounds permitted by PAIA.

04How to Request Access

Requests must be made on the prescribed form and submitted to the Information Officer. The request must provide sufficient detail to identify the record and the requester, and specify the form of access required.

05Fees

A request fee and access fee may be payable as prescribed by PAIA before a request is processed or a record is made available.

06Grounds for Refusal

Access may be refused to protect, among other things, the privacy of third parties, commercial information, and records privileged from production in legal proceedings.

07Remedies

A requester who is dissatisfied with a decision may apply to the Information Regulator or a competent court as provided for in PAIA.
